Justin Clarke & Samuel Williams
Justin heads up the RIA team at LBi London, a leading marketing and technology agency based in Brick Lane. Cutting his teeth on Java at the start of the decade, he moved to Flash as quickly as possible once he saw the innovation and creativity coming out of the nascent Flash community. Having worked across the usual clients and projects typical of our industry, he's now focusing on putting together a best-practice RIA development environment of which Flex and PureMVC will play a significant part.

With a background in Computational Physics and a passion for Java, Sam was drawn to the Flash ecosytem due to its increasing maturity. Having worked at numerous agencies across London on a variety of Flex and Flash projects, Sam is now a senior RIA developer at LBi leading numerous projects utilising Flex and PureMVC.

In this session you'll be shown how to integrate PureMVC into Flex projects. Along the way we'll discuss how PureMVC differs from Cairngorm - should they be compared head to head, or are they solving different problems? We'll also run through some of the best practices we've distilled in applying PureMVC to our projects - where to place business and application logic, how to construct services, and how to easily unit test an application. Finally, we'll demonstrate how we automate our project creation and build processes.
